Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Raton

Me and my husband stayed in the one in Raton New Mexico. I cant say about all of them this was our first time to stay in one. Very nice gentleman at the desk. Nice clean rooms, lobby and outside . I'd stay again. The rooms were cute set up with different colored pegs to hang things I loved the window seat and lots of pillows. One negative the breakfast needed eggs and meat.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and super comfy beds with fluffy pillows....and I'm a Princess and the Pea type of maintenance when it comes to bedding. I sleep with 3 king size pillows even when I travel...I'm critical of beds. This one was quite nice. Parking was great too....there is room for trailers. Oh and the bathroom has full sized bottles of toiletries and a back-lit mirror....nice touch.

Microtel was just what we needed for an overnight stop on our drive to Phoenix. The rooms were a bit minimalist, but everything we needed was there. The beds and pillows were comfy, the TV was newer and big, and the room was clean. The free breakfast was continental, but they had waffles! There was plenty of free parking.

This is a less expensive but excellent motel. The beds are very comforable with multiple outlets for chargers and CPAP machines. The bathroom is large and the shower worked very well. One big feature is the long rig parking in the back of the motel. We parked our truck and pop up and got out in to morning with zero hassles. The people running the motel are very helpful and accomodating. Breakfast has zero protein but will fill you up with waffles, cereal and good coffee. They also have healthy options but I ignored them. Don't kick the bed surrounds. They are tin.

Great hotel when I was in a pinch overnight with busted tire. Great rooms. Very clean. Great and friendly staff!! I would highly recommend. Very reasonable prices as well

Clean room with nice updates, but the pillows are terrible and need replacement. Two rooms had the same great bed, lots of space (incl window seat) but four terrible, lumpy, flat, foam-scrap pillow kept us from a restful sleep on a road trip. Would stay here again, but bring own pillows.

This was a quick stop and we wanted to get as far as we could so we stopped in Raton, New Mexico rather than Trinidad, Colorado. We interacted with two staff at the front desk, both friendly and helpful. One of the dispensers in the shower was empty and the courteous employee brought up a full bottle as a refill. Rooms had been remodeled and they were like a kids room. Little colored pegs to hang clothes on and numerous little wooden shelves to hold towels, kleenix, etc. Beds had a ton of pillos, I think six per bed, which we really like. One really unique feature was the window Seat. A great sitting area to look out the window and just a comfortable location. Breakfast was somewhat limited, lacking the hot foods that many of the continental breakfast have. The main selections were Apples, cereal and a waffle machine. If you need a place to stay in Raton, nothing wrong with this hotel!

Room was quite nice….equivalent to most others. Quiet, clean, newish, sufficient amenities etc. Breakfast was better than “continental “ as described. Q: would I/we use Microtels” again? “YES”!
